Hi i am a newbie here and i hope someone can help me answer some questions

1) are the weekly trainings = friendly kickabouts? (i.e internal friendly matches)
2) I am quite old (45 years old) and in very bad form (trying to get back on top). can i still play?
3) If i can play, will i be playing with everyone who comes or will i be 'grouped'  with people of the same age..?
4) All 'training' sessions are held on normal grass i suppose?

Hi guys,

I've just signed up to the team and will be participating in this week's training session on Sunday!

A little bit about myself...Just moved here for work from overseas so I'll be looking forward to making new friends and having an awesome kick around :)

Question to Karnex - As I have just moved here my sporting attires are quite limited. Will it be okie for my to wear a sleeveless basketball top with number 10 on the back (my bball team jersey, funny thing is it's actually reversible and it comes in navy blue and white)? . Won't be upsetting any strikers I hope....

Cheers,
Kevin

Been part of three practices.. I am still having an ankle injury that i have inflicted since feb but despite that i have been trying to attend training regularly , However i get cursed as well as mocked at of not performing well. Ive even managed to score my first goal in the previous fixture yet not given any positive feedback . I came to this club looking for an alternative channel to play football having play football regularly outside as well. Wanted to mix around and stuff but i feel kinda left out. My ratings are all like crap. I feel that i deserve better. especially my previous fixture where i made the runs and finished a great goal. Im not back on form yet as my injury haunts me. Any empathy given?

Firstly, we apologize if the Beatles had neglected your appearance, or made you felt unappreciated.

please don't give yourself too much pressure by taking too hard on those "mocking" or "curses"
yes, some of us often shout here n there for instructions, "mocking" each others on the pitch,
u might want to approach some of the senior players around for advice or just simply a chat.

end of the day, after/before the training, everything is put aside, we talk about what's went wrong during the game, how to improve, etc... what happened on the field, are left behind on the field.

conflicts bound to meet on field, especially when things goes wrong...or on the losing team.

keep your chin up, and maintain your standard well, i'm sure u will see or hear positive remarks duly in times to come.

last, not least, we hope your ankle injury is recovering well, take good care of it! & come back faster & stronger! and hopefully the last few games didn't make your ankle injury worsen :/

Thanks for the concern. I genuinely appreciated it. Now im just hoping my ankle will get back in shape as soon as possible so that i can get back in form. I kinda feel like a burden at times... I want to do well and improve my standard of play, learn more about teamwork as i am the captain of my own club outside of BB. I want to use it as a form of play that will hone my skill. I am trying to take criticism as constructive feedback. However, insensitive comments are hurtful though like "injury is not an excuse". And that i feel is unnecessary because here i am against physio instructions to continue attending training sessions as well as matches outside of BB. And yet i get blamed on for performance below par. I know i may be a little unfair to those that showed me concern and gave me a pat on the back. But i still have to get this off my chest. My ratings too are reflected. I scored my first goal despite the fact that i am hurting my ankle again. And yet no improvement, even a downgrade from my previous appearance which was an even more "below par" performance. I want to feel a sense of belonging as it unites everybody who love FOOTBALL. That i feel is the most important. Nobody should be "better or treated differently". equality is important.. Sorry if im being blunt but i feel its better to bear it out in the open then to keep it within myself. Once again i appreciate the well wishes and will continue to persevere on.
