in spain, he prob would have condemned to hell by now, let alone given the chance to redeem himself with good overall performance.
7 millions. hmm... wigan bought henri camara for 3.5 millions and he played twice as good as a striker than crouch.

I don't think he became a bad striker overnight... just felt that he might not be suitable for Liverpool style of football.. maybe can sell to Rovers for 1mil and he will become the top scorer of EPL with half a season more to go..

quite true, given that proven top strikers like cisse and nando are struggling to score consistently as well.
i reckon it is more than just the style of play, prob more of marco factors like team mentality and club culture.
i've seen some opportunities bestowed to these strikers which they can put away easily back in their former clubs.
something is very wrong somewhere...

I think Rafa bought Crough not because of his scoring prowess (any way he is not known for that ) but for his tactical aspects he brings to the game... he can drag defenders out of positon n make more space for his team mates.... not too bad a buy but he is not a 20 goal a season striker.

If everyone (including the defenders) knows that he can't score, why are they still being dragged out of position by him? hahaha...
