can implement some RSS news feeds from

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/rss/news

Info on how to convert RSS into html using ASP.

http://bytescout.com/how_to_display_rss_using_asp.html

So that can see some content pertaining to soccer in the website. Don't have to launch a new window to go to soccernet to get latest news...

interesting suggestion.

just implemented RSS News from soccernet on the forum page. something like that?
but i went thru the XML and noticed most of the content are similar to the title.
if i am not wrong, u need to install some sorta feeders to extract the entire articles and most of these tools come at a price.

guys, do share if u come across any interesting RSS feeds.
meanwhile, i'll be thinking where more appropriate can i display these feeds.

most of the RSS XML feeds across internet only pass you the hyperlink. There may be pure XML that syndicates the entire articles which you can display on your website but i believe you have to pay for them. Although you can write a HTML tag parser in perl, of other programming language to break up html code and extract the entire article data, it is troublesome to write one for each website.

interesting RSS .. hmm.. maybe can find some which suits the taste of the people here .. which i note are

1) Soccer news (maybe for well supported teams .. liverpool, man u, blackburn(are you serious?),  and of course Arsenal !!)
2) www.exactscore.com (XML or RSS for live score during sat/sundays)
3) asia travel news (bangkok?)
4) PC Games
5) Car automobiles
6) local news ( channel newsasia )

seems like too many above, but perhaps can program to display according to week of day or rotate them.

anything other ppl here are interested?

is exactscore.com valid?

maybe i have it randomize it on main forum page and fix one on each respective forum.

for firefox, sometimes can, sometimes cannot. if you see that your arrow key can work, meaning u can cut and paste.

for IE, mostly can.
