lucky chelsea got away without having essien sent off and conceding a penalty. nevertheless, liverpool clinched the top spot and avoid the likes of AC Milan, Lyon and Inter Milan, for now.
its amazing to know how chelsea always escape having to give away penalties. wondering if mourinho trained his players to block the view of the officials while their team mates make those challenges.

Gotta admit essien's tackle was bad... But considering tat tis match was relatively unimpt since both teams had qualified, i was very disappointed that liverpool never made a game out of it.
B4 the match started, u could see Rafa's intention by deploying 2 holding mids in front of the back 4. i tink tats how liverpool plays, focus on defence and hope to have penalties or score frm the few chances they have.
But guess the standard of refereeing during the match was quite bad. The ref missed essien's red card offence and amazing chelsea was caught offside 6 times considering how deep liverpool defended (some were obviously onside).

though both managers also play down the important of the games, they pretty much want to top the table. you can see that from their strong lineup.
cant totally blame ah ben for not entertaining the crowd, considering liverpool has lesser attacking options than chelsea. and remember the last time liverpool tried being adventurous against chelsea?
plus it was an away game and liverpool needs the win less badly than chelsea.
thus, to avoid teams like AC and Barca, he is kinda right to play against the crowd's demand.
anyway, think UEFA is looking to punish the ref for not punishing essien. hahaha.. wtf.
