barca register a 2-1 victory at stamford bridge when they could have won by a bigger margin.
own goals by defenders from both side opened up the game before e'oto headed in the winning goal.

thought barca's approach was kinda conservative at the beginning and the end, seemingly satisfied with a 1 goal difference, considering they could have done more with a one man advantage.

Steady lar!

another controversial red card tat cost chelsea the game. Barca have not beaten chelsea when it was 11 on 11.
in 2000, chelsea won the first leg 3-1 and lost the 2nd leg 5-1 where babayaro was sent off.
in 2005, chelsea lost the first leg 2-1 with drogba getting sent off and won the 2nd leg 4-2.
tis yr, same old story again with Barca winning 2-1 and del horno miraculously getting sent off.

for all the talent tat e'too and ronaldinho have, im very disappointed by their integrity.
after del horno committed the tackle, both of them ran over to the ref like mad men and demand the ref send del horno off.
meanwhile messi lay on the ground as though a train just went over him.
uefa has really got to look at the standard of their referees. they forbid managers and players frm speaking abt the refs but ddo nth abt weak refs like tis.

hope chelsea can pull off some miracle in the 2nd leg.

controversial indeed.
messi's play acting makes del horno red card looked harsh. on the other hand, del horno deserved it as he went for the player instead the ball.

being a barca fan this morning, i kinda understand ronaldinho's attempt to influence ref's decision, given that chelsea players were clipping his ankle whenever he got the ball.

as a whole, i dont think mourinho can groan too much about the messi's incident.
after all, robben play-acting got reina sent off lately.

Steady lar!

though i felt disgusted with robben's acting, no one could argue tat reina didnt deserved to be sent off for rasing his hands and a tackle frm behind on eidur.
but the same couldnt be said of del horno as he tried to pull out his tackle aft realising messi had jumped.
i wouldnt mind chelsea going out if liverpool went out too.

From last year loss to Chelsea in Champion League, Barcelona learn it's lesson. They know that they cannot deploy attack mode against Chelsea as they have the tendency to sit back alittle and very dangerous when they counter. Chelsea wingers are one of the best in the world, and they sprint real fast, once they are behind your defence, a goal is on the cards. So Barca knows that and they deploy the tactical approach. The return leg should see Barca win it and provide Chelsea doesn't score a early goal, Barca should crush Chelsea.

Sorry Chelsea fans, I think your game plan is running out and Lampard is not really on form at the moment.

Don;t be suprise if Rangers make it to the final.
