Yesterday's match was my first time in Anfield. Ive spent my time in UK for quite a while until yesterday that I finally had a chance to go there.
I woke up at 5.30, took a train from Guildford. I went to Birmingham where I changed the train, met my girlfriend and I found out that there are more Liverpool fans on the train than Villa fans. Anyway, it was a long trip, I finally arrived at Liverpool Lime Street around 11.30. I took a taxi and the lady driver was talking about Liverpool going to the FA cup final. She was friendly and I was impressed by the Scouse Accent; it's very nice although It is a bit hard to understand.
At anfield, I walked around, had fish and chips from the Chinese take-away opposite Total. I walked down the road to get the cash out at Barclay's and it was a long walk. I bought souvenirs from the official club and I saw people showed fan cards to the cashier and I did the same. Without doubt, I didnt get any discount. Never mind! I took many photos around the stadium and finally I got in the stadium through Turnstile (which gate I couldnt remember). My ticket is "Main Stand" Block MC Row 17 Seat 0148 my girlfriend's ticket is seat 0149.
I was a couple of minutes late when I went inside
My first sight in Anfield
was a man who made me thrilled
That's Traore!
I calmed down; I saw Riise, Gerrard and the rest and the pitch was much smaller than in TV but the atmosphere was unbelievable and I thought to myself "Im finally here!!". I asked the crowd staff where was my seat and he pointed somewhere, I didnt know so, I asked again and he said something like "The row with the man in white T-shirt". OK, the white T-Shirt... I walked there walked past many people who had to stand up to let me past and I said "Sorry, Thank you" along the way.
Our seats are (148, 149) but the unoccupied seats are (144, 145). So I looked 3 seats from 145 and I suddenly pointed at that seat (which was mine)...... That guy was sitting there with his Mrs.

My jaw dropped, my eyes were wide-open and I couldnt move, I couldnt say anything, I nearly forgot that Liverpool was playing. That man pointed back at the unoccupied seats and his friend told me that I could sit here.
I sat silently and I asked my Girlfriend, who rarely watches football "Do you know Luis Garcia?????"........... and at that moment Nando scored!!! First, I didnt know who scored, I knew after that. I stood up and shouted and it was the greatest first couple of minutes there. I settled down and looked left............................
Oh my ****** god. It was him!!!! LUIS GARCIA.... yes! the one who drinks Sangria! He came from Barca and he sat three seats away from me! I took two photos of him and he looked at the camera in the second one and I felt guilty, I felt like a bad and annoying paparazzi. So, I stopped.
The atmosphere there was great except that Main Stand was very quiet and I wanted to sing! FFS, I am an OOT, Im from Thailand!! but I tried hard to learn as many songs as possible for my first time here! 20 minutes of the game. I got a cramp. **** I walked a lot yesterday and the excitement + stress (I couldnt sleep well the night before) I got a cramp but I couldnt stretch my leg. It was painful as hell in my right calf! Thank god that Garcia booked more seats than he needed and I could stretch a little and It was around 10 minutes before the pain started going away.
Just before half-time. Garcia and his mrs and friends stood up and walked out. When he walked past me, I said "We love you!!" (I tried to support him; I thought that he was not very happy that he had to sit there watching other players) and he said "Thank you, thank you" with a big smile! I couldnt think of anything.
I saw John Barnes and also the young lads who won the FA youth cup. We congratulated them with a loud applause
Before the second half he came back with his friend but his mrs didnt come back. Instead of 3 seats away, he was right next to me with one unoccupied seat between me and him! There was a kid asking for his autograph and I asked him "Could I take a photo with you?" He nodded and my girlfriend took the photo!!!!!! I thanked him and said "King LUIS!" and he smiled.
The Kop started singing more in the second half but the main stand remained quiet. Gareth Barry scored for Villa, it was even more quiet.... Until Alonso passed the ball to Stevie G. and Captain Fantastic sliced the ball into the net and the atmosphere was fantastic again. The Kop sang "Steve Gerrard Gerrard!" and I had to mumble because nobody around me sang (including Luis Garcia) but Luis Garcia seemed to admire Gerrard because he stood up and clapped his hands a lot with a big grin. The story was different when Traore made mistakes... Lil' Luis' head went down and he looked at the floor. I wanted to tell him that we felt like that when you gave the ball away but no, I didnt say that
