My 2 cent observations -



Germany - defence is a concern, oppenents are treading too many through balls; off-side trap not working.



England - no fit strikers = no goals



Brazil - can the 424 formation win them their 6th world cup? Will be interesting to see this formation vs more organised and exp. teams like Italy and the Czech



Czech - Looking impressive , esp in mid-field ...



Italy - Compact and efficient, a bit of luck may see them winning the cup..



Argentina - Defence may be a concern as most of the defenders juz recovered from their injuries.

I thot Spain was pretty to watch yesterday... will be supporting them all the way... until they get knockout by a penalty shootout =)

Anybody here wondering what the hell is Channel 28 for?

Who in their right mind would wanna watch the entire match from a helicopter view? And most of the time when games are not played, it is showing the same stuff as Ch 27.

I thot mebbe it will be better if Ch 28 is devoted to showing all the bouncing fans during the games? =)

channel 28 is useless. 

btw, what is in channel 110 and 111? mine is an old box, can oni go up to channel 99 max.



saw england's game yesterday, they really need a lot of luck to reach quarter-final.

both potential opponent are just too strong for those english players. (germany & ecuador)



world cup havent ended and chelsea is aiming for germany's left back: lehm. 

Mine is also an old set but somehow got this feeling that 110 and 111 are equally unnecessary.

Based on current performance, England is probably the most overhyped team around. I was hoping that they draw with T&T yesterday so that Eng-Swe will be a must-watch... until those Liverpool players spoilt it.

The channel will focus on a particular player during a match for abt 10 mins then change to another one
Channel 28 is more on seeing the formation and tactics of the teams

these 3 channels are more useful for coaches analysing teams not for us... haha

Anyway... this is a "give-ball" WC... considering most of the tournament favs all won their matches beating their handicaps except France.... Very unusual as there dun seems to be any surprise packages (Maybe Ecuador???)

haha .. czech kana wack by ghana .. major upset tonight.. so much for the czech...

only watched the second half and man, was it exciting. somehow, i felt that the ref was not consistent with his calls on fouls.



simply end to end action and ghana deserved to go thru. the czech paid the price for really poor defence and if not for peter cech, they would have been 5-0 down.



ujfalusi should take majority of the blame for this loss as he was sent off for arguing too much, for a penalty that did not go in.

crazy night of football. three red cards and one own goal.

two goals from the italian but USA walked off with a point, keeping their qualifying dream alive.

after a score of 1-1, italy was left with 10 men. then it was the american to level the numerical advantages with one man being sent off.

with second half barely kicked off, the american has one man being sent off again, leaving 9 vs 10.



yet, the italian couldnt find a way thru to the american's goal.
