Hi guys, the match is confirmed at Serangoon Secondary School Field on Sat, 1st July.

Please be there half an hour earlier for warmup, morale-boosting prep talk etc...

Referee is Simon.

Kent, can change the venue on the fixture page?

The long-awaited match is confirmed.

For the first time in a long while, we have a lineup that picks itself and in fact, if a few more players were to confirm their attendance soon, I think we will have good options in a few positions too.

Don't forget to vote for the players' position... and let the hype begins =)

with the number of players, i think we can have 1 team playing 1st half and another playing 2nd half, except the keeper of course

That's a good selection problem =)

There's more than a week to go and my side is collating the players available. I hope my side will not have any shortage of players, but in the event of that, I might need to t-loan some of our players (including myself) over, so that more people get to play. Hope everyone can understand.

So next time we should jus place one of the event as match.

....if good enough.. we can play our own match within ourselves since response for match so good

discussed about having a match within ourselves before. meaning we would need a minimum of 20 players and at least 2 keepers.

however, as the attendance response varies across the fixtures. not many willing to fork out upfront and organise in case the turnout is like... 10.

perhaps the players find it more challenging to match against external teams.

for those who are really keen can ask simon to help arrange match on a regular basis (e.g. monthly) with opponents who are at our standard.

maybe we can set a date as match internally and put a closing date to it to see the response.

if by the closing date still less than 20 has responded then change the date to a training instead. if 20 or more responded by the closing date, we can book for pitch?

if those who cfm but fail to turn up, then either the rest who turn up pay slightly more for the booking of pitch or we still try to get those who have cfm but failed to turn up to pay their share lo to be fair to others? just a suggestion..

good suggestion. closing date is something i can look into implementing but perhaps not in this instance.
it takes at least one month to book a pitch with SSC and i am not too sure if we can confirm 20 names one month beforehand.

nevertheless, i think we are on the same wavelength.
while i am in favour of playing on a proper pitch on a monthly basis, boon heng is in the process of booking a 7 a-side pitch.
i guess we just have to take a risk and hope we have enough players on that day itself or face forking out more individually.

sometimes ago, anthony has suggested something like collecting a small fee from the team on a fixed periodical basis, a thought which i have been toying with. this could help to subsidize the team desire to play on a proper pitch more frequently and other equipments.

how favourable are u guys with this idea?

For those of you who haven't play with us before, remember to bring a blue jersey.
