ok folks, i have a situation here.
BMSS for this sunday is not available for booking. dont know if its taken or try to book too late.

anyway, we will still be at BMSS 11am this sunday. if the caretaker drive us out, then we just head down to bugis/hong lim together.
thus, avoid coming too late this sunday.

Steady lar!

weather has been quite erratic these few days.
for sunday's game, in the event that it is still raining at 9am, drop me an sms and the game will be cancelled automatically.

May I know whether we book the field or not for every kickaround. I can't really recall when was the last time I paid for it. It's really embarassing and mood spoilt to be chased away as if we wanted something for nothing. I have no intention to blame anybody here but just to voice out my concern on the booking matter.

Some newcomers reflected to me that the team wasn't like what it used to be when they just joined where we got enough players to fill the full field. Now we are struggling to fill a half field. Along with the booking matter, I'm wondering whether they will come again.

before any clarification, i need to come clean that i did not book the field.
in fact, i have not been booking the field for quite a few weeks given that no other group of players were using the field since the day we played at bt merah sec sch.
that pretty much explains why i've not been collecting money from our players lately.

singapore sports council disallows us to book the field if it is too close to the actual date, and of late, i can't know if we need the field until it is close to the actual date.
no doubt that the fee required to book the pitch is not exhorbitant, cancelling the game (if only 7-8 players can make it) makes good money go to waste.

thus, i ask the team to help us make the decision easier by indicating your availability as soon as possible.
i understand that not everyone access internet regularly but i reckon everyone has a handphone, yes? as such, we do have a wap site which you could access using your handphone, whenever and wherever u are.
if we see too many players say "no" to a fixture, we could easily have cancelled the game in advance. that makes negative responses contributive to how decisions are made.

boon heng and i did our part to remind and recall players for sunday games, we need everyone's help to do theirs.

one of the reasons why i stood my ground back on sunday that we could use half of the pitch was because all these while, ssc website only open half of the field for booking.
i tried to play bluff but failed.

alex, dont feel embarassed. we did continue to do what we were there for in the first place, didnt we?
embarrassment only occured if we were chased by policemen and have had to climb over the fence to make our exit.

Steady lar!

perhaps time to arrange a match? i guess i notice tat whenever there's a match, there bound to be full of 18 players. but when it comes to training, the attendance really seems quite low. maybe can impose some penalty? or maybe like if u hit a certain amount of attendace den u k play in a match? my ex team used to do some like the following, 3 trainings plus a match in a month. and u have to min acheive a attendance of 2 training before u could play in the match.

juz my 1 cent worth of thoughts. no hard feelings if it offended someone

good suggestion. there're some of such mechanism in place already.

if you guys notice, player's status will revert to rookie if MIA for too long.
thus, in the event of overwhelming response for matches, only regulars are allow to sign in for the fixture.

players are encouraged to discuss and arrange matches if they have any opponent in mind, like what alvin did.
i'll assist to do the necessary.

gathering our guys for kickabout is already a hassle, i personally want to avoid the logistics of organizing matches myself.
