dont think we have much time for discussion on the day itself, thus i thought i think out loud beforehand.
given that it has been ages since we last played a full pitch length, not many of us has the fitness to zoom up and down continuously except for tingfu. thus, we ought to resist too many overlapping play and dribbling.
having that said, i suppose 4-1-4-1 or 4-1-3-2 still suits us best. the nucleus of the squad is still the defense, where the last four should camp in our half to make simple clearance to deny all attempts, with an alonso helping out wherever is vulnerable. no over dribbling around our own half but simple long and direct balls to the other side of the field.
with lesser needs to backtrack, the offensive unit can have more energy for hassling. i dont know who exactly we are playing against, however, not many amateur teams can dealt with high and long balls with 100% effectiveness. with knock downs and hassling, it's easier and less tiring to break away from the opposition's half rather than having to pass our way up.
not sure if my recommendation make sense, but i figure our fitness doesnt allow us to play anything too fanciful before the scoreline is to our advantage. pls feel free to give the team more opinion.
as for the rest, player coach jovan can decide on the lineup and make the final call. to make coach's job easier, you can pick on who to play where usinghe vote position feature.

finance wise, the fund left is only adequate for us to book field for another 4-5 months.
tingfu, how much does each team need to fork out? $70?
anyway, tried to get vincent to pass us the new jersey for the game. but no response.

good game, guys. for a bunch of alumni playing together on a full pitch against a bunch of army boys, i thought we did quite a decent job.
for the record, we are unbeaten since 2006! though we only played 1 game for the past two and a half year. HAHAHAHA.
hope this game will spur more players to join our sunday game more often.

Yeah... it was a good 90 mins....
Like Kent said, a very good performance from a team that had not played proper match for almost 2 years... & we nearly won the match ya...
With a little bit more composure on the ball rather than just whacking the ball upfield and improving our stamina as well... i think our team will be ready for anymore upcoming matches...
Anyone keen for another match?? :)

indeed we enjoyed possession for most part of the 1st half and came close for a few times!!! but alas, lack of fitness and composure killed us later. I am keen to play another game although I'd take 2 weeks to recover from muscle strain. let's target 6 weeks later. suggest we play at home ground.. save money. and thank u for ur cooperation and understanding during the match...

Yup, if we have converted our chances in the 1st half, probably be 2 or 3 goals ahead at halftime. We didn't managed to attack much in 2nd half though.
I think we'll get better if we play more 11-a-side matches....to get use to the width of the pitch and player movement. Most imptly thou, we enjoyed ourselves...no matter if we win or lose.

some comments from my friend is tat...."despite our team average age, we played really very well" and yeah..I told him....if not becoz of stamaina we could have won the match with the same tempo as we played in the 1st half....
my friend also said tat...his team and himself was very shocked tat we played a very high tempo 1st half.... and during the half time..he even told his teammates...if our team continue to play like 1st half....they confirm die big time.....I LMAO......
