Hi Alivn, those friends you've brought who played with us last sun played quite well. Anyway, dun mind having match if most ppl are keen and we enjoy the game. Maybe you just fix a date for a match in the fixture and see the response loh.

Ok, this Sunday.
I will start to take steriod from today...
Which is your gf's brother? Who are the people we played last sunday, we will be playing against? There are 2 very fit young chap from Republic Poly, are they the one? The rest of you better start taking steriods too if those are the enemy...
Actually we can play at Zhangde this Sunday. There are goal posts. No need ref and dont need to book.
If the field is taken, which I doubt (cos nobody in their right mind play at sunday noon), we can still play at GESS field.
Cheers,
Mervyn

I think our tactic for the day should be to try and keep possession and tire them out. Some of them seems quite fast n fit but they might have more problem adjusting to the afternoon heat than us so if we can keep the ball and try to tire them out and hit them on the counter, we might stand a chance.

yup i think nothing to be afraid of they are younger and more flair but we are more technical side. as long as we play our organised and passing football they shouldn't stand a chance. advantage is that they haven;t seen our regular players and they underestimated us. after speaking to them they thought taht those playing against them like the iindian guy are their opponents. so if our reg players come they should be in for a shock! but so far not much pple leh where;are my fav DM like Hanwei , Qingfa jovan? donn? fav striker Alson?

I will ask lucas to check with leonard. he used to be a keeper but got regular sunday soccer game as well. so not confirm.
regardless, lets just enjoy the game...
if both sides agreeable. we can organise a recurring friendly game with that team once a month. no need to get ref since its only a friendly.
Rock on

interesting idea on the recurring friendly game but i have reservation about having no ref. very likely to have conflict.
at very least, have a rep from each team/half to play ref role.

No need ref lah.
Play friendly one. No dispute. We gonna get all the very very convincing goals.
So where are we playing?

guys,
good news: response for this weekend is very good! bad news: there will be no match on sunday as the opponent does not have enough player. alvin said that it is likely to be next week.
as such, have changed the match to training. will resume game as per normal for coming sunday. we could expect 17-18 players.

so sorry to disappoint you guys. think maybe too soon for them. they were suggesting for a match but din't know was the following week. so sm players frm their side couldnt make it for this week. buit next week is fine, hopefully we can still have the headcounts for next week against them. maybe this week we try to play and practice against them lor, and play to positions. its been quite a while since we had a match also, and i think occassional matches really can spur the players on and to have better attendance recurring matches may prove to be the long missing link that Beatles have been searching for.
