Hello Beatles,
Rgding the previous post talking about some drills before the previous friendly match against my friend. I was thinking of having this simple drill just before our training match. I think most of us did this before and I personally find this drill very useful.
What we have to do is to divide ourselves into 2 teams like usual. Then we have to pass the ball to our team-mates successfully WITHOUT allowing the opponent to intercept the ball in any ways. The team who can make 10 successful passes to their team-mates will then be allowed a point or a "goal". The purpose of this drill is to improve ourselves with passing, calling our team-mates b4 passing the ball to them, shouting "MAN-ON!" when the opponent is behind your team-mate, 1-touches and the simple trapping of the ball and composure.
This drill can also help us when comes to our future friendly matches. In my opinion, I realised that when we had our friendly matches previously, we didnt manage to do simple ground passes and just pumping the ball high up and letting the forwards to chase for the ball.
Just my 2 cents worth. =) Anybody who has any suggestions on this?
Thanks, Tom

sounds good to me. doing this drill more often will help us in team communication and positioning.

the caretaker is being less accommodative of us staying late..
i suppose we can start earlier at 10:30am, provided that the pizza kids are not around to hog the field.

wanna share your ball control technique with the guys?
since there isn't much objection, i'll be changing the fixture to 10:30am instead. ball bearer, pls take note. else we have everyone there without a ball.

I'll try to make it around 10.15am or so lo... last week was there early around 10am cos i have the ball so was thinking of kicking around but the lazy caretaker only arrives at around 10.15am to open the gate. Those coming early meet at the kopitiam if the school gate is not yet opened lo...

Hi All,
Pertaining to preceding posts earlier, I believe most of us wanna play more therefore I suggested the below for all your review & advice. We will play 35mins per half and rest only 10mins before we continue with 2nd half instead of normal 45 mins. Since its only 35mins, if everyone try to work doubly hard by chasing each and every opportunity (defenders / midfielders / strikers to keep on pressing on opponents), I am pretty sure that we will definitely have a fruitful and statisfying game before our match next month.
*Pls be punctual & try to inform your peers regarding the change of timing so everyone can train together, sweat together.
Training on 28th Feb 2010
1000 - 1030 --- Preparation (change boots & attire / self skretching) 1030 - 1045 --- Warm ups 1045 - 1130 --- Drills (Throw in, Ball control, Header, One touch) 1145 - 1220 --- 1st Half 1230 - 1305 --- 2nd Half
