Sorry to dig up old thread. Then for people like me who likes to "caress" and "feel" the ball I dun like to shoot with power, but instead try to place my shots. Any advise on which boots to buy?

yes of course the different grade have different use. the better the grade, the more grip and comfort u will feel. eg i'm using the mercurial vapor grade 2. it's suitable for me as my gameplay is more to speed and i feel as if i'm not wearing boots at all. It depends whether u like to control the ball or u want to get precision shooting.

defenders mainly need to do passing and clearance. just get something comfortable, with more padded instep, esp if you feet are weak.

no need to spend more than $70.
i've seen players wearing $200-300+ boots, with interchangable studs, but still play like crap.

the boot is the extension of your skin..
so anything that is comfy for you is the best boot for you (:

yes...differenc grade means differen material use....BUT...for field and pitch so fark up badly in sg....and you buy those good grade one...they will not last..and spoilt even more faster....coz they are built for the nice pitch and field....not muddy pads or potholes feilds...=)
