ur mum have already stated her reason which i tot its a pretty valid one, since u need to work the next day.
even if u're taking leave the next day, it might affect ur father with all the goal shouting at wee hours.
if u really want it badly, then organise it somewhere else. have a bbq at east coast.
take it as a growing up process. u cant have best of both world.

acutally my dad will watch it even thot there is work the next day he is always never on time de hahaha
