Hi All,
A few of you may be wondering if the Beatles are participating in some sorta soccer tournament, and the answer is Yes. Bugis Beatles will be sending in a team to compete in ASPN Charity Street Soccer Competition and the details are as follows:
Date: 21 and 22 August 2010 (Saturday and Sunday) Venue: St Wilfred Sports Complex Time: 7am – 7pm (21 August) and 9am – 3pm (22 August)
Only team which qualified on Saturday will play on Sunday. If you are free on these dates and wish to support your team mates, feel free to drop by and cheer them on.
For those who keen for some actions may ask: can I participate? In short, the answer is YES, as we have room to send in another team to compete & gain experience. However, the slots are limited. If you are available on both the above dates & street soccer tournament sounds interesting to you, please indicate your name as below:
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.
Once we have sufficient names and when it is compiled this coming Thursday (5-Aug) at 10pm, I will appoint a captain among you, to select your squad from the above list. Priority will be given to regular players, with consideration of suitable attributes.
We will not proceed if: a. we have insufficient name by the above deadline b. we cannot find any willing captain among the players c. there is no willing goalkeeper among the players d. the tournament organiser decided not to take in additional registration.
In the event we do proceed with registration, fee per player is $10, which will be collected upfront during the next 2 Sundays' trainings to prevent noshow. Slot will go to the next available player if payment is not made.
I try not to overwhelm you with too much information. Thus, if you have any queries, post it here and I will try to answer as soon as possible.
