yeah, if I remember correctly, it was against Alvin's friends, aka A61.
and it was also one of the incomplete match BB has went through.

I recall we were 3 up by half time, until they got in those nigerians even when they have more than 20 players!

hanwei was already with us back then, but he didn't joined for this game.

Steady lar!

haha.. you made me digged through the old thread and found we have discussed about this match extensively, both before and after. http://www.bugisbeatles.com/forum_thread_view.asp?ID=242

ho soon even came out with a soccernet-like match report!

yeah, i still vividly remember how big-sized those africans were, with majority of us at most at their shoulder height.

Steady lar!

haha...now u guys said it...how can i ever FORGET...damn!
not sure how "big" Essien is but those Africans look more like wrestlers than footballers to me!
somemore I have a feeling those guys were just playing at maybe 60~70% of their ability??

... and alson almost got into a fight with their player. that's when I think we abandoned the game.

back then, it was quite a common scene. punches were literally seen in the match prior to this.

Thou I maybe had not joined the team or was a newbie at that time,I did read abt this match... Haha. Those were the days.

As for me, my most memorable BB moment was not in a friendly match but during one of the training session. I remembered we cancelled a few games due to shortage of players until a few of us who are itching to play decided to go ahead with the game even thou we had only like 3 pax a team if I remembered correctly. It got to such a desperate measure that we have to impose unconventional rules for that particular game just to have some sort of a challenge to make things more interesting such as we can only score using our weaker foot (left leg for most) and our head. Can't remember who are the guys who join that game thou but it was silly fun with ppl missing open goal and struggling to score into almost empty goal.

haha...this I have to put my hands up...me (& Thomas) are always the culprits!
but then we fight to "protect" our team-mates...never do we fight among ourselves...sound like an excuse...wakaka!

can't blame also. we were deprived of a elusive morale-boosting victory for a period of time. tempers flared up rather easily when provoked.

yeah, still remember the 3 vs 3 challenge. actually, i think we started with 4 vs 4.
two actually knocked out because of the demanding rules..

most tiring part was after missing one open goal, one has to dash back to the other end just to defend another open goal.

Steady lar!
