For those brudders who are interested:

Price quoted below are nett without further discount,
Bargaining are subjected to price increase without further notice.

Speeding:
Exceeding 1 - 20km/h = $130 + 4 demerit points.
Exceeding 21 - 30km/h = $150 + 6 demerit points.
Exceeding 31 - 40km/h = $180 + 8 demerit points.
Exceeding 41 - 50km/h = >$200 + 12 demerit points + Court.
Exceeding 51 - 60km/h = >$200 + 18 demerit points + Court.
Exceeding >61km/h = >$200 + 24 demerit points + Court.

If you want to be hero and fight the court case yourself, and you
lose, you pay the court! charges yourself, which will add up to your fine.

I guess the court charges is at least $200 and above.
Careless driving = $150 + 6 demerit Points.
Inconsiderate Driving = $170 + 9 Demerit Points + Court.

Compounded.
Illegal Racing = >$200 + Vehicle Confiscate + Court.
Failure to put on Seat Belt = $120 + 3 demerit points.
Crossing Double White lines = $130 + 4 points.
Phone and Drive = $200 + 12 demerit point + Phone Confiscate.
Do not hold your hp in your hand when you drive even with loud
speaker or ear piece.

Drink Driving = Up to $5000 Fine And, or jail Term + Licence
Suspended+Court. For first offence.
2nd time offence = Jail term + Fine + Court.

Making an illegal U Turn when there's no U Turn sign = $70.
Fail to Signal when changing lanes = $70.

Driving at night without headlights or taillights switch on
after 7pm = $30.

No Number Plate = $70.
Obstructed Number Plate = $70.
Obscured Number Plate = $70.
Number Plate Of Unapproved Type = $70.

As for Demerit Point system:
Let's say you have 0 points on 1st January 2005,
and you committed the offence of Failing to Put on Seat Belt.
So now, you will have 3 demerit points and this will last for 1
Year.

If during this 1 year you have no demerit points offence at all,
your 3 demerit points will be gone on 1/1/2006.

But, if during this one year, From 1/1/2005 - 1/1/2006,
you commited another offence with demerit points,
your very first offence will be extended for! another year until
1/1/2007.

Moral of the story... offenders are always wrong in the eyes of the law and no point appealing for a lighter sentence if you are caught red handed.

Drive safely.

Heard from one of the guys in another forum that there is a rampant "aids" robbery in JB. These are the two stories regarding the robbery.

.........
Hi All,

I believe the AIDS threat tactic in JB isn't new to you all. I just kena today while eating somewhere near Taman Sentosa. I finished dinner with my family and were walking back to my car parked beside the main road. It's quite dark thou there r street lamps around but the light was blocked by the trees.

My family had got into the car, including myself. While i'm closing the door, a hand budged in and prevented me from doing so. One bearded Chinese, quite a well built guy in his mid-thirties was showing me his arm with needle hole and claiming that he's a AIDS-positive f%#ker. Wanted me to give him any amount to go away and i tell him RM20 and that bugger wants S$50. Told him tat i only have S$30 which is a fact and he showed me a needle. Bloody piece of sh!t.....He wants me to gather S$50 from my family and my mum passes me S$50. Passed to him and told him to go but he said i lied and demands S$10 more!! Gave him another S$10 and he finally left, saying that he's kind enough to just blackmail S$60 from me while the other f%#kers takes everything. Wat the hell?? Trying to say that he's kind??

I was so pissed during the whole confrontation but LL, becoz i'm under the mercy of the freaking needle. Afterwards, i just drove off. Thank god my family is not really that badly shaken by that, but it sure is a damn lousy experience!!

Therefore, to all fellow drivers who drove to JB, please do not let your guard down and watch out for people around you before you get into the car. Talking abt the low crime rate, that's really bullshit which i agreed in the previous thread about their Mayor or something who commented JB is one of the safest place in Malaysia. Hahahaha...

Anyway, guys and ladies, do watch out for yourselves and your family while you're in JB!! Have a nice day!!
..........

Here's another one,

..........
hi !

hate to say.... told you so........

i actually posted this same warning here abt 3 months back; that was when my staff went to JB with her family. She/husband are malaysian (SG PR). But they bought a SG red-plate Sunny and went to their parents home in JB. When they were done, they went to the Bamboo Restaurant near The Store for dinner. After dinner, it was the same scenario as your - one guy wud stand behind the car to prevent them from moving off, and another guy will pop a bloody needle out and ask for RM50.

But my staff told the needle guy that "dun just think that we are driving SG car we are S'poreans, we are malaysians too...... i only have RM10, take it or leave it !" So they managed to leave with just RM10 poorer.

only in july, she told me again, that her hubby's colleague kenah the same threat, but they were not so smart, ended up paying RM50 also.

oh btw, for all info, the place where my staff kenah was at the big public carpark beside the monsoon drain of The Bamboo Restaurant. just in case any dunno where it is, just rememer the sign board and becareful when ard the area.
