Do you love football? Would you like to compete and be the best?
The Uni-Y@NTU Football For Cause 2010 is a social enterprise project that integrates elements of charity and service learning in a sporting event to raise funds for our local community service programmes which serves to meet the social and physical needs of our elderly folk.
It is a one day tournament on the 29th of May, so grab your friends, form a team and register NOW!
16 teams will go head to head in a round robin tournament at the NTU softball pitch with the winners grabbing attractive prizes!
Just $70.00 to register a team of 10 players! You can register online at http://footballforcause.readingkids.org
----- Hey Guys, do we wanna send a team down for some friendly competition? In another way, we are also doing some good community work :) Please let me know asap so I can sign up for it as a YMCA volunteer!

Anyway...i'm not free on 29 May... guys who are free do go ahead and enjoy urself.
Actually if we have more than enough players keen in joining can form 2 teams since its gonna be 7-a-side team.

yup great idea! I believe the proceeds will go some way to helping the elderly folk too.
Like what david mentioned, we can have 2 teams, one team wearing the HOME jerseys while another team wear the AWAY jersey. :)

Our friendly, goal scoring, friendly organizer for the month is Tom Ng. I will speak to him and get him to liaise with you on it.

Hey Everyone!
We can send 2 teams. The response have been pretty good so far by the looks of it. However, we will spread the message to everyone this coming training and hopefully also finalize the lineups for the 2 teams. This would also give some players valuable match experience and the "feel" of a tournament D:
Since the date of event is 29th May, time is not exactly on our hands so we will have to move swiftly!
1) Line ups to be confirmed by 16th May after Training 2) I will register the teams on 16th May 8pm-10pm and send the confirmation to everyone involved here. 3) Once everything has been confirmed and approved by YMCA and the organizers, Ill update you guys. 4) Hopefully we can make use of the time together on 23th May Training to finalize some tactics etc etc etc
Cheers!

I'll be back early, this coming wed, so I'll be able to take part if there's still any spots.
