Hi guys, the match on 9 Aug has been confirmed. It wall take place at Woodlands Secondary school. Please be there by 8.30 on the dot for briefing/warm up. Our opponents will be wearing white, so we will be wearing our blue kit. DO NOT wear it for this sunday's training. Cost per team will be $90 each, so expect to pay $8-10.

*** As stated on the sign up page, indicating YES for the match does not guarantee you will play in the match. So if you honestly feel you will not feature much in the match, do leave the spot open for others. Supporters of course, are most welcome!

Go hard or go home.

Anyway, i was thinking...we can get abt 30plus..maybe even 40 players nowadays for our weekly training game if we do not impose a cap....thus maybe we can consider holding a mini 4 team tournament once a while bking the pitch for 4 hours.

Maybe once every six month...where we book the pitch for 4 hours? Gather response and attendance to allow up to 40 to 44 players. Then pre-group the players into 4 teams so that the strenght of the teams are even.

Then we play a 4 team knock out tournament. 15 to 20 mins per half with 5min break between the half...then if match end in tie...decide the winner thru sudden death pk.. (so 1 game will take abt 40 to 55 mins) just nice for 4 games (semi, final and 3rd/4 placing)

each team will get to play 2 games.

I know this sound ambitious....haha... but if it work...it should be quite fun and everyone will get their chance to play.

Of cos...cant do this every week...cos playing short half games cant train our match fitness....i'm talking abt once every half a year or something just for some fun?

I suggest those who are playing the match come together for some tactical talk before/during/after training on 8th Aug (:

very interesting concept from david.
always tot we have more than enough players to form our own tournament. perhaps 7 aside kind since the smaller goal posts are already there, where 2 matches can run simultaneously.

in fact, we can have a dry run during one of the september dates at sembawang.
we can play as long as we want there, tho many seems to knocked out during the 3rd hour.

I'm afraid all slots have been taken up, and that I would be unable to guarantee that you would have a chance to play in the match. We approach matches differently from trainings, for example for our last match there were a few unused substitutes. As stated, indicating your attendance as yes does not guarantee you game time. Which is why I encouraged those who honestly feel they have little chance of playing to leave their slots open, rather than wasting a trip down to the venue.

Support is always welcome though, do feel free to head down to support the team if you have the time to spare.

Go hard or go home.

good game guys. tho we did not play to our full potential today, the team did well to contain the opposition team
we could have walked away victorious, credit to a david's overhead kick (see picture below) & our relentless defense.
on many occasions, the opponents could undo our effort but moments of double "saves" from rizal & andy bailed us out.

tho we eventually gave in, it was only because of a stroke of bad luck with ball bobbling in front of our goal line, resulting a simple tap in by their striker.

nevertheless, like what cedric said, we are all winners on national day and would like to dedicate this result to the entire BBFC.
enjoy the holiday and happy national day!
