to avoid confusion, further discussion on the coming match continues here. previous discussions can be found in this thread.

if i did not get it wrong, the exact location is near Singapore Association for the Deaf & Guillemard Gardens School, along Mountbatten Road.

below are some of the mates with cars:
- Boon Heng
- Ivan Liew
- Patrick Seah
- Gimmy
- Chee Boon

are you folks able to ferry some of the guys from Kallang MRT station to the pitch?
alternatively, if it is more convenient for you to pick the guys up from other area, kindly specify so.

lastly, for those who do not have our team jersey, please wear blue.

Steady lar!

3 - Centreback
===========
Ivan
Cheeboon
Gimmy - for those yet to see him in action - for a 40 year old, he looks very solid player .. *hats off*..

5 - midfielders
==========
left wing - Ting fu

Central -
donn (defensive role)
Jovan (distibution and tackling)
patrick

right wing -
alvin

2 - Strikers
=====
Kent
Boon Heng

As a moderator of this sector i hereby contribute some feedbacks as well as my preferred team play. A preview of the lineup and analysis of each and every individual.

Above is what Ho soon suggest. We can discuss further. yea i think ho soon should play supporting striker just behind boon heng or kent? will have to see if Alson is comin?
I would recommend a more attacking flair play of a 4 - 4 - 1- 1. opting :

Gk:
Patrick
Ivan

Def:
Jovan
cheeboon
kent/Alvin
Ivan/Patrick

Mid:
Donn
Tingfu
Gerrald
Alvin/weijie

Att:
ho soon
Boon heng/kent

                                                                                boon heng

                                                                         ho soon

                                                tingfu           gerrald              donn             Alvin/weijie

                                                kent               jovan           chee boon       Alvin/Ivan/Patrick

                                                                                Ivan/Patrick

That;s my suggested line up according to the players that indicated their attendance.

Gk will be played by either Ivan and Patrick as they have indicated their capabilty in goal. Will have to test out on match day itself, to determine who would start as our number 1.

Def area will be preferably be marshall by Jovan. having played with him so many times, i feel he's the man to keep their attackers in check. Kent will operate as a left back though not his usual position, but we hve to make do with it as aathi is out. he played as a left back in our last game and i thought he did well. chee boon has the physical attributes to lineup with jovan and should make a solid pair, if not I could also come into the central defense should either of them couldn;t turn up. as for the right back position, i put myself on the vote along with one of the gk candidate. If philip were to be able to make it, he shall be among the back 4 as a right back though his pace may prove the turning point, but he has the discipline to stay back in defence. As this is more of a attacking formation i would require both the full back to be committed to moving forward as a overlapping full backs to support the wingers.

Mid area wise, we have sufficient talents to roam the central pitch. Ting fu will start as our left wing with an attacking mind and should use his pace and stamina wisely to exploit the oppenents defence, leave  the ball tackling and chasing to the centre mids, and concentrate on pacey run on the flank. Gerrald and donn will take charge of the central mid, with gerrald as the ball holding midfielder and donn as a more defensive oriented midfielder. As for the right winger, it's either weijie or me myself opting for the right flank. weijie have the abilities to dribble but his physical attributes is against him  and could he could face  a problem should he face a strong fullback marking him. we need the crosses from the flank and most crosses should be delivered on the right flank and his crossing abilities has yet been tested.

Attacking wise would be ho soon supporting boon heng. boon heng will be a menace against our opp defence with his never say die attitude of ball chasing and with the flair and vision of the supporting forward( ho soon) he could well be on the score sheet.

overall this is my personal comments anyone should feel free to comment on this system as well. cheers!

interesting analysis folks.

i would go with 3-5-1-1 strategy as well. i thought we were rather comfortable with this formation in our last game.
too bad we have to feature ivan as keeper, else we would have a easier lineup.

most of our line-ups are pretty close and below would be mine:

GK - Ivan Liew (he should take the role of sweeper if we have any keeper on sunday) / Patrick

LCB - Alvin / Patrick / Yadzi
SWP - Jovan / Ivan Liew / Ho Soon
RCB - Kent / Chee Boon / Ivan Kwek

DM - Charlton / Jovan
LM - Tingfu / Alvin
CM - Donn + Gerald / Wei Jie
RM - Kok / Ivan Kwek/ Chee Boon / Kent

OM - Ho Soon / Jovan
ST - Boon Heng / Kok

Sub: Jerry (havent seen him played before)

Steady lar!

Guys,

from previous matches, we have a tendency to drift upfront (being the main culprit myself). so i would suggest just to leave 1 target man up front and stagger our line up to 4 layers. This way, there will not be big gap in between  each sector?  Also, it be good to pack centre onwards so we can distribute the ball from the middle.

Just try to communicate more, and loudly, while you are at it. Most important of all, enjoy the game and see you all at the next kick about.

i predict scoreline to be 3-1. Any odds this time?

Chelsea is the best hahahaha.....

Yo finally we are seeing some response in the fixture....Maybe next time we can play against ourselves... My feel of their team is that they will have some speedy players, so we need to track back and cover after losing the ball as not to be too overly exposed..this will require ppl to have tactical discipline and team awareness, thus if shag liao can rolllin-sub (strenght in depth)as we have more than enough cover...

My line up for the day 4-4 -1-1

The play maker will be ho Soon and he will dictate pace of the offensive game and be given a free role.

In Defence we will play 4-5-1

The wingers will have to track back and defend the right/left backs. this will be very tiring but we will have enough cover to do this.. the mid-fielder will have to win the ball first and distribute effectively...
This is a good learning exp. as a team, take it easy and haf fun on the day...

GK - Ivan Liew / Patrick

LB - Alvin / Patrick / Ivan Kwek/Phillip
CB - Jovan / Ivan Liew /
CB - Chee Boon /
RB - Kent / Yazdi /Donn

DM - Charlton / Jovan
LM - Tingfu / Alvin/ Weijie
CM - Donn / Charlton + Gerald / Wei Jie
RM - Kok / Ivan Kwek/ Kent

OM - Ho Soon / Boon Heng / Gerald
ST - Boon Heng / Kok / Ting Fu / Kent

errrhmmm... since they have speedy players... all we need to do is make sure that defence play deep.. (stay behind) and not move up, or else if kana 1 long ball, then run up and down like hell..leaving everything haywire..

one more thing about the rolling sub... everytime change player too many at a time, all tactical discipline lost..

yipeee... i get free role??!!

anyway based on the attendance confirmation, seems like we have almost 18 players. can stay behind and form 2 teams to play amongst ourselves after the game. Is there a lot of ppl who book this pitch?

ya i agree..we should play deep so as to allow us enough time to react to any possible long ball against us..
then if we know who r the fast players..gotta be more caution cos once they turn us..then gone liao..haha
hmm..maybe for the rolling sub case..perhaps we juz have a mini team talk before the game then we can like somehow understand each other's role in case we r being sub in for a diff position from the one we r playing initially..juz a suggestion only bros..hee=)

Just finished my A-tec, Damn Siong.
Hope to join in this sunday.

I've played against this team twice.
Some comments on the opponent team:

Good stamina esp in 2nd half
quite a physically built team. (reminds me of rugby players.)
expect harder tackles than sunday kickard.

my prediction
either a 2-2 draw or 3-2 win for us
cheers

It's kickoff time~!!

i agree to actually stay back and play with 2 teams of our own. as expected, there's still a higher turn out during matches. i expect more on that day.
